Bridging Japan and Minnesota with a flower's warmth and a note's joy

About Me

Bloom like a flower, resonate like a note

Kanon's name says it all: 花 (flower) and 音 (sound). She came from Japan to Minnesota in 2023 and quickly became part of the family — the honorary big sister of the Koenigs household. She's been described as a storm with a calm, gentle center: spirited, straightforward, and endlessly kind.

Now a college student in the Twin Cities, she studies, acts, and dances — taking the stage in her first spring dance production in 2026. Fully bilingual in Japanese and English, she lives with one foot in each culture: taiko drums and sports-day relays on one side, road trips and music festivals on the other. Next up: climbing Mount Fuji.
